Kimberleys is a progressive New Zealand retail fashion company with a well respected and high profile. They have been running for three decades, and within that time, have gone from one small store to a thriving fourteen store operation at the helm of New Zealand fashion. Founders and owners Marilyn and John McLaughlan have firmly established Kimberleys in the New Zealand high fashion arena, continually setting trends for the seasons. In 2005, John and Marilyn received the Deutz Lifetime Achievement award for their longstanding contribution to the New Zealand fashion industry.
In the beginning Kimberleys was a stockist of local labels but started manufacturing their own knitwear in 1983 when Marilyn saw a space in the market for unique, quality garments. Since then Marilyn has added three of her own labels – Marilyn Seyb, Marilyn Seyb Jeune and Episode which are designed for the fashion savvy New Zealand woman. As well as their own labels, Kimberleys stocks a large range of international labels sourced from Marilyns frequent buying trips to Europe, America and Australia. She creates looks from what she sees, and is inspired by the glamorous Parisians, outgoing Los Angeles girls and the more conservative but elegant English women. The staff at Kimberleys know just how to mix and match labels to suit everyones taste, lifestyle and budget… and they’re keen to help you put it together.
